“WEDNESDAY WOW”

Image result for life is a lesson or a blessing

Good morning readers and may my blog find you in good peace! Today I will dedicate my blog to my “WEDNESDAY WOW”…..those things that happen to us or that we hear about, that just makes you say…..WOW! Some are good and some are bad…..but as I stated earlier…….in life….there are….LESSONS OR BLESSINGS. Unfortunately, we may not be able to decipher at first what it is, but an end result can give you a better understanding!

I will begin by sharing a beautiful story, that is sending a message of how people come into our lives as a LESSON or a BLESSING. Ever since I read this passage….my mind takes more time to understand and comprehend the meaning behind people who cross your path!

Things Aren’t Always What They Seem

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion’s guest room. Instead, the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it.When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, “Things aren’t always what they seem.”

The next night, the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had, the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night’s rest.

When the sun came up the next morning, the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field. The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen? The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused. The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die.

“Things aren’t always what they seem,” the older angel replied.

“When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn’t find it.”

“Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead.

“Things aren’t always what they seem.” Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don’t turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You might not know it until some time later…

Talk about things that make you say……WOW….and getting a LESSON or a BLESSING!

We don’t know who God is sending to us and for what reason…..but what ever the case….you will learn or be blessed and it is important to take each as it is meant for you. If it is a LESSON….it will show you what not to do or be like, and if it is a BLESSING…..it is a reward for a seed that you planted that grew into a blessed stick for you. Be thankful for the good and bad times, because you always get something out of what you face, whether you like it or not!

This next WOW share, has been said to not be true and jut a rumor, but I feel that the passage tells a message in itself….whether it is true or not. It was retrieved from a story from “Chicken Soup For The Woman’s Soul”, called Just In Time.

“PICKUP IN THE RAIN”

One night, at 11:30 PM, an older African-American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rain storm.

Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride.

Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car.

A young white man stopped to help her, generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960s. The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance and put her into a taxi cab. She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his address and thanked him.

Seven days went by and a knock came on the man’s door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home A special note was attached. It read: “Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband’s bedside just before he passed away.

God bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others.”

Sincerely,

Mrs. Nat King Cole.

Now if this story is false…..the message is just beautiful and another feeling of…..WOW. Once again, an example of how people come into our life as a LESSON or a BLESSING!

Around that segregated era of our time, to see a white man help a black woman, was rare. But what if that were true, that this gracious and sincere man was just doing a noble duty…..all without knowing who she may have been!

WOW……WOW……WOW…….WOW…….WOW…….WOW…….WOW!

I want to take this time to ask each and every one of you, to think about all the people who you surround yourselves with daily, or that you come into contact with……are they a LESSON or a BLESSING?

4 ME, I AM WISE ENOUGH NOW TO KNOW THAT BOTH COME ALL THE TIME…..THE LESSONS…..HAVE MADE  ME BETTER……THE BLESSINGS…..ARE MY REWARDS FOR MY FAITH AND BELIEF IN MYSELF!

I hope you enjoyed my “WEDNESDAY WOW” and that it gave you the same feeling of WOW…that it gave me. Until we meet again, be safe, make it count and have an AWESOME DAY!!!
