“WEDNESDAY’S WOMAN”

Maya-Angelou

GOOD MORNING READERS AND FELLOW BLOGGERS, MAY THIS BLOG FIND YOU IN GREAT SPIRITS!

“WEDNESDAY’S WOMAN”, is the wonderful and phenomenal woman….MAYA ANGELOU!

Today I would like to focus my blog on three quotes that this wonderful woman shared with the world, and share what these quotes say to me. After viewing her documentary, “Still I Rise: I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings”, it just touched my soul tremendously. Unfortunately, I didn’t become aware of the power in her words until further in my life, but to have it now is just wonderful. With a great lost for the world, our community, our movement and ourselves, I tribute, salute and thank you MAYA ANGELOU on my blog today!

QUOTE 1:

“WHEN I COUNT ALL THAT I HAVE, I HAVE MORE THAN I HAVE NOT”

This quote says to me that, when we count our blessings and what we are thankful for, it is way more than the desires we have not. In this society today, trending fads, wanna bees, fame, fortune, lavish materials and an envy for others life…..have distracted us completely. Your journey is yours and there is no time or eta to your DESTINATION. Stop viewing others blessings, as your flaws or your mishaps and begin to appreciate, praise and acknowledge what you do have. So as I count all that I have in my life, it is just a down right disrespect to not show my gratitude. Today I am thankful and grateful for the ability to share inspiration and encouragement!

QUOTE 2:

“TRY TO BE A RAINBOW IN SOMEONE’S CLOUD”

This quote represents what I feel as if my calling is and something that brings such fulfillment inside of me. To be able to set your shortcomings to the side and share the good news, word, encouragement, hope and even fortunes, are how you can be a rainbow in someone’s cloud. Have you ever seen a person with a frown and shared some words or affection with them, to notice that you turned their frown into a smile. Well, there you go, that is what this quote is all about and to use these few but effective words are examples of paying it forward. So today I challenge you, to be that rainbow in those clouds that some may carry and just don’t notice how they feel, but rather pay attention to the good vibes that it sends through you. Once again, a reason why I am able to share my writings with others and this blog……YOUR STORY CAN BE SOMEBODY’S INSPIRATION!

QUOTE 3:

“I’VE LEARNED THAT PEOPLE WILL FORGET WHAT YOU SAID, PEOPLE WILL FORGET WHAT YOU DID, BUT PEOPLE WILL NEVER FORGET HOW YOU MADE THEM FEEL”

Reading this quote for the first time, had me stuck until I begin to let it sink in. You can share your words and they will not remember none of it. You can give your all and always be there for someone or a situations, but still there will be no appreciation shown. But my God, when you make a person feel some type of way…BAD OR GOOD…it will always be remembered, because you touched their feelings. Understanding that this can be positive or negative, the first two points are usually the ones that will determine if an individual has been moved. This is why I make it a priority to make people feel the way that I want people to make me feel. In return, this leaves an unforgettable emotion that gets put into our safe memory bank. Think about this, if you give out Christmas Cards to some and not all, ask yourself why? Do you give everyone you know or are related to a gift for their birthday, ask yourself why? Do you invite everyone you know to a special event that you may throw, ask yourself why? Because of this, we never forget how someone made us feel and therefore we have a tendency to surround ourselves around those that made us feel GOOD not BAD. Do you remember the last time someone made you feel a certain way, based on what they said, did or didn’t do…….WELL THAT’S IT!

I HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY BLOG AND UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, BE SAFE AND HAVE AN AWESOME DAY!!
