“WHAT WILL YOU DO?” START WITH LOOKING IN THE MIRROR AND BEGIN TO MAKE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE!
GOOD MORNING PEOPLE AND MAY THIS BLOG FIND YOU IN THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL SPIRITS!
Today it feels as if I have awaken with an anointed message that was destined for me to share on my blog. I have decided to call the blog my “SERMON SUNDAY” because I feel we will be going to church and receiving that GOOD WORD. My heart is heavy when I recall and witness so much chaos in society and we wonder what can we do to help? Many individuals have been courageous throughout history and took a unity stand toward battles they believe in, that have showed us their selfless mentality on a humanity level. As we see our society struggle with domestic issues, international confrontation and even unpredictable natural disasters, what will we do to make a change?
I agree that the first step is to take that look in the mirror and ask yourself what you want to change. By doing that, I was able to answer my question and then produce a “VISION”, that coincides with the change I want to make. My thoughts carried me to great legends who had dreams and destinies to fulfill, that paved a road for many of us to this day. When I think about what it is that I want, it centers around a safe and fulfilling life for my grandchildren. As we look at the youth of today, our hearts yearn for they to be the hope for the future and many of us just continue to pray that they make it to the future. In my childhood days, things like such were not our worry or even our parents on the level it is now. But then the experiences that our grand parents and parents encountered, are ones my generation is not so familiar with. I want to leave this life time with a assurance that the new generations are at least given a chance to live a full life. My efforts on this “VISION” have began and I will continue to pursue the goal of viewing what I believe is possible.
The road toward this goal will not be an easy path and I understand that obstacles will arise. The conversation that I conducted with myself in the mirror, led to the beginning of my meditation sessions. I knew that it was important for me to take the time out and start “LISTENING” to what my heart was telling me to do. With a firm belief in prayer, my conversations TO GOD and my message FROM GOD could be heard in my meditations. In order for me to see it, I had to believe it and then I knew I could conceive it, which would then bring it to life. Sometimes it becomes difficult for individuals to determine what voice is talking in your head and that’s why if you close your eyes when you speak from the heart, the one that is “LISTENING”is God. Talk to that voice and not the big headed ego who may confuse you at times, by understanding that God will not give you negative advice or information. We may even find ourselves battling between the spirit and the ego, which is more reason why I meditate and pray. This is your nourishment and fuel for your spiritual growth, that aim is to move you toward your goal.
Now that I have envisioned what I wanted, took the time to pray and meditate on my desires, I must now begin to implement my creation. This is done through “TAKING COURAGEOUS ACTION”, that are volunteered acts from the heart to help others in need. I live near a shelter and many women with their children live there, but I have information that validates the not so comfortable living conditions that these families reside in. My heart would love to just let them all live with my family, unfortunately my space is not accommodating enough for everyone and I continue to ponder my brain to help on that level. This led me to think about what was in my capability to do and that’s when I begin the step of “TAKING COURAGEOUS ACTION”, by introducing myself to some of the women. My goal here was to share with them a personal experience of my own and let them know I was not here to judge and just wanted to pay it forward like others helped me. Some women were receptive and others I understand why not, but I was able to retain a connection with some and I help them out with unwanted clothes and shoes. The gratitude and appreciation on these women face, brought me so much fulfillment and I share many hugs, stories, laughs, coffee and just the good old prayer. The efforts of such and actions continue to this day and eventually I will have the aide to help these families in so many other ways.
The fulfillment of joy and grace, are great nourishment to my soul and I remember how it felt when I thought I wasn’t cared about. The biggest element and tool that allowed me to surpass so many of my trials, was my “FAITH” and it was the main ingredient to my recipe for survival. Having this tool is the connection I have with God and before I knew what this wifi wonderful was, my doubt had me ready to stop holding on. The relationship that I have with God, is an unbinding bond of love and everlasting trust that steers my life. Without the tribulations and lessons throughout my journey and the “FAITH” that I harbor, my strength would not be present in me. As each individual has their own story to live and tell, we all must not give up hope or belief in greater things occurring in our life. The patience is a must and important, because all things have and take a process and my tools from the Most High are greatly appreciated. I will continue to pray and believe that the change I illuminate, will have such a domino effect and I will view it in the world. Each of us must do our part and that part is solely on what it is you want to see in that mirror.
Put your wants in your activities and pursuits, that will place you in the direction toward what it is you want from that person in the mirror. I found myself providing a “SERVICE” to people, even though I am not a part of an organization designed for that. This didn’t mean that I wasn’t able to still help or give support and I made sure it wasn’t a barrier for me as well. In my daily coffee run, I encounter many homeless individuals and regular beggars. With a request to help on a regular, my help may not be able to extend on a financial level that day, so how can I help? Well I am a true believer in not wasting food and when my family have leftovers, I have made some plates and distributed them to some of those individuals. Unfortunately I am not able to feed all and God knows I would love to, but I just provide the “SERVICE” that I can at that moment. To this day many of those individuals know me just because of my cooking and the meal I was able to provide for them. I even take old clothes, shoes, bags and anything that I feel that someone could use, that my family and I don’t utilize anymore. In my eyes this start is huge and my prayers are to expand with others and help many on a gigantic level.
I LOOKED IN THE MIRROR, I SAW THE CHANGE I WANTED TO MAKE, I BEGIN TO IMPLEMENT ON ACTS OF PAYING IT FORWARD, I HAVE WITNESSED THE JOY I HAVE BROUGHT TO PEOPLE’S EYES AND I CRY AND SMILE BECAUSE THAT FEELING IS PRICELESS!
WHAT DOES THE MIRROR WANT YOU TO CHANGE, MAKE IT!!!
THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO SHARE MY “SERMON SUNDAY” AND UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, BE SAFE AND HAVE AN AWESOME DAY!!
